Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

CAMRT CT 1, 2 and 3 courses and practicum (CTIC) to be completed within 3 years of hire. Venipuncture certification. A minimum of three years work experience as a Technologist in an acute care setting. Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, computer and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, work effectively independently and within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Demonstrated interest in professional growth. Demonstrated perception, initiative, judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Demonstrated tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff and Physicians. Demonstrated leadership and change management skills. ACMDTT Enhanced Practice Authorization in Medication Administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Courses in supervision or leadership desired. Previous supervisory/management experience desired. CT Experience preferred. Full CTIC Certificate with completed practicum preferred. ACMDTT Enhanced Practice Authorization in Medication Administration.
