Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:CAMRT Continuing Education course (CT 1,2,3 or equivalent CT training) required within 3 years of hire (CT course 1 registration to be started within 6 months of hire). Minimum two years general technical experience. I.V . Certification. General knowledge of computers. Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships/teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaison with various professionals. Perception, initiative, accountability, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Ability to effectively communicate in English required. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred 2 years current CT experience. Preferred Cardiac CT experience.
