Medical Radiation Technologist II
Your Opportunity:
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will play a key role in performing specialized radiological imaging examinations on patients to aid in diagnosing diseases and pathologies. You will handle advanced diagnostic imaging procedures, assist physicians and radiologists in interpreting requisitions, and contribute to the care and upkeep of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will be part of an innovative team that specializes in peripheral, body, and neuro/stroke interventional procedures. These procedures are conducted in our facility, which features multiple angiography suites, including both single-plane and biplane imaging systems. Your expertise in these areas will be essential in supporting accurate diagnoses and patient care in a high-demand environment.
Description:
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be able to wear a lead apron (15-20lbs) for prolonged periods of time Must be able to take a considerably high volume of call on evenings, weekends and statutory holidays Must be able to perform a considerable amount of patient transfers each shift IV Certification Medication Admin and Management courses are required
