Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous experience working in Computed Tomography in a trauma center is desirable however we are willing to train eager new graduates. Venipuncture certification or completion of certification during orientation. CAMRT courses CT 1, 2, 3 are completed, in progress or initiated within the first year of hire. Experience in Microsoft office applications, VAX, NetCare, PAC. Demonstrated excellent skills in interpersonal, written/oral communication. Proven judgment and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with procedures (drains, Traumas, Biopsies). Ability to work in stressful situations and a desire to further own knowledge and performance relating to the field. Must be able to work with various health disciplines and demonstrate respect and partnership. Able to provide excellent care and service to patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of various scanners (i.e. GE, Toshiba and Siemens). Connect Care knowledge Participation in process improvements and change management (ex: LEAN, PDSA).
