To be eligible for this position, you must currently hold CCPM certification or equivalent (ABR, ABMP). Other qualifications include: PhD or MSc in Medical Physics. Preference will be given to applicants who have graduated from a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Graduate Program and/or CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency Program. Demonstrated knowledge in Radiation Physics, Radiation Dosimetry, Principles of Imaging, Radiation Protection, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Radiation Biology, Radiation Measurement Techniques and Instrumentation, and Clinical Oncologic Imaging and Radiation Oncology. Extensive knowledge of clinical physics. Adaptability and ability to work independently and as an effective team member. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good listening skills. Ability to work effectively with scientific and medical professionals, all members of the multidisciplinary health care team and students. Well-organized, efficient and able to meet competing priorities and deadlines. Solid teaching, coaching and mentoring skills. Ability to take responsibility for critical clinical decisions. Good presentation skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must be able to provide support for the Red Deer and Grande Prairie Medical Physics Departments as needed.
