Completion of Information Management/Library Technology Diploma.
Additional Required Qualifications:A Library Information Technology Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is required. Proficiency in information technology and computer applications used in libraries is required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively managing and setting priorities when faced with multiple tasks and deadlines. Experience working in a large organization and as part of a large, geographically dispersed team is desirable Strong information management, communication, presentation, interpersonal and public relations skills Proven problem solving, decision making and leadership abilities. The capability to complete functions independently, as well as collaboratively. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and communicate using online tools. Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and service-oriented manner. Ability to effectively manage and set priorities when faced with multiple tasks and deadlines Ability to resolve conflict in a timely and professional manner. Ability to follow and adhere to Alberta Health Services policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Ability to safeguard Alberta Health Services information as private and confidential. Effective time management and multi-tasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:At least one year of directly related library experience in a hospital or health care setting is an asset. Beneficial memberships include: Alberta Association of Library Technicians (AALT), Canadian Health Libraries Association (CHLA), Association of Alberta Health Libraries (AAHL).
