One or more of the following with a minimum 5 years’ experience in Facility Operation and Maintenance,: A Journeyman Certification in a Building Trade (preference to Plumber/Steamfitter certification), B. Eng. with specialization in Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent, NAIT diploma in Mechanical Technology. Must possess leadership / people skills with a minimum of 5 years previous leadership experience preferably in facilities operations and maintenance.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have advanced knowledge of engineering and management methods and procedures. Must have good knowledge of computer applications and programs. Advanced knowledge of institutional facility infrastructure, systems and operations is required. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be creative, adaptable, and must possess good practical knowledge and well developed analytical and problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
FMP (Facility Management Professional) or CFM (Certified Facility Manager) certification is considered an asset. Preference is given to those with experience in a hospital/clinical setting.
