Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in a relevant regulated health related profession. Minimum of five years recent and relevant clinical and supervisory experience in the areas of addiction, mental health and mental illness. Experience in working in a management role and /or in the supervision of personnel with demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills and expertise. Demonstrated strong clinical knowledge and skills in the areas of addiction, mental health and mental illness, along with consistent efforts to maintain a high quality of client focused care and service.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to lead front line staff in the analysis and resolution of challenging client care issues. Addresses staffing issues as they pertain to clinical functioning. Provides opportunities for staff to experience growth at multiple levels; facilitates experiential development. Effective interpersonal relationship building skills. Change management knowledge. Financial management including knowledge of budget forecasting, financial reporting and resource expenditure management. Knowledge and expertise in people management and working in a public health system. Professional qualified knowledge and skills of addictions and mental health and evidenced based practices. Strong problem solving and decision making skills. Crisis management and emergency response skills. Organization, planning, program, protocol, procedure development and implementation skills. Accurate computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet). Able to identify operational gaps in service delivery and plans for new initiatives to improve continuity of care.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in maintaining standards of care, community development, quality management, utilization management, strategic planning, service coordination, budgets, resources management, teaching health promotion, public relations and or research is preferred. Course(s) in the management of human resources in relation to client care preferred.
