Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a related Bachelor Degree. Continuing education in Volunteer Management required. CAVR Membership and certification. Personal experience as a volunteer required. A minimum of 5 years in a Volunteer Resources Management role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (health care experience an asset). The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

A record of accomplishment in the following areas are required; Progressive leadership experience in a volunteer service environment. Practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, and project and program management. Knowledge and demonstrated application of business planning, modeling concepts, and program and project management theories, principles and practices. Effective communicator with strong organization skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources in a changing and multifaceted environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized sector.
