Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s degree with a Bachelor’s degree in a health discipline and appropriate Alberta licensing and designation. Minimum years of experience: 5 years in healthcare management/leadership and/or leadership in adult education/post-secondary education in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of advanced professional and personal development. High level skill in Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook, Project, Skype, and Sharepoint.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Expert working knowledge of national and other provincial healthcare clinical practice education. Effective leader and mentor to professional and administrative staff, colleagues, clinicians, and other leaders. Experience and advanced knowledge in working with legal agreements, policy, procedures, guidelines, protocols, and standards. Experience in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of complex strategic local and provincial change initiatives. Demonstrated effective and collaborative leadership abilities. Demonstrated effective conflict resolution skills and critical thinking. Proven ability to manage a team of staff as well as multiple complex projects. Advanced knowledge and demonstrated application of project management and expert group facilitation. Proven ability to foster collaborative partnerships, build solid relationships, and achieve organizational goals with internal and external partners as well as team members. Effective verbal and written communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing responsive, quality services.


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of using a clinical information system in clinical practice. Knowledge and experience with Health Sciences Placement Network (HSPnet).
