Required Qualifications:

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in health related discipline, business or administration required. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). Successful leadership experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills and client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results. Ability to implement project management and quality and process improvement theories, principles, measurement techniques and tools. Broad range of skills in system improvement, change leadership and management and knowledge translation.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledgeable about the current political context in which health services are delivered and health decisions are made. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, and partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree is preferred. Knowledge of AHS’ Business Plan and its relationship to the Business Plans of the Primary Care Networks. Broad knowledge of primary care, chronic disease prevention and management and key principles of primary care reform.
