Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in health care management, health informatics or related field is required. A combination of education, skills, experience and/or certifications may also be considered. Previous managerial/supervisory experience.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Progressive leadership experience in a health information management related field environment, including 5 years of experience in a management role in Health Information Management or related operations. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the implementation of electronic health information systems. Experience in the implementation of health information management business transformation strategies through the use of technology. Graduate of a Health Information program recognized by the Canadian Health Information Management/Canadian College of Health Information Management with current credentialed status.
