Required Qualifications:

Active registration and practive permit with the College and Association if Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA).Graduation from a recognized nursing education program. Three (3) years’ experience in a nursing role within the last five (5) years. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support-Health Care Provide (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, resident focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Able to provide effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within the team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage short term and long term plans and projects and deliver client focused results.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of one (1) years' working in a leadership capacity (i.e. Charge Nurse or Team Lead) is preferred. One (1) years' experience within the last three (3) years in Continuing Care is preferred. Previous management experience in a Long Term Care Setting. Experience working in Meditech and RAI 2.0 is preferred.
