In this leadership position, you will support, guide, and influence the care provided to patients incarcerated and remanded at the Calgary Remand Center (CRC). The Correctional Health Services Manager oversees a multidisciplinary team of nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologists, addictions counsellors and social workers who support the provision of chronic and acute healthcare needs, addictions and mental health support to a marginalized population. Description:
Reporting to the Director for Correctional Health Services, the Correctional Health Services Manager is responsible for healthcare operations at the Calgary Remand Centre. The Manager works both independently and with other stakeholders to provide leadership in the provision of quality healthcare to clients while incarcerated while building and maintaining a liaison with Correctional Officers and community healthcare partners. The CRC Correctional Health Services Manager plays a key leadership role and is accountable for providing direction of the Correctional Health Services Care team in support of the vision, mission, values, and business plan of Recovery Alberta. The position makes key decisions and has direct leadership responsibility to the achievement of the goals of the AHS Correctional Health Services Unit. Key responsibilities of this position include leadership, relationship and change management, resource management (human, material and financial), risk management, and strategic planning. The center offers "in center" healthcare support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Baccalaureate Degree in healthcare. Minimum two (2) years recent clinical experience in a management/supervisory role. Working knowledge of the healthcare system. Superior change management, communication and conflict management skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Master's degree. A strong clinical background in care of marginalized populations.
