Degree in a professional health discipline (Allied Health, Nursing). Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical management or equivalent leadership experience. Active registration with relevant professional college(s) and/or association(s).
Additional Required Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of the service delivery models of Recreation Therapy. Proven leadership and team-building skills. Familiarity leading interprofessional teams in a matrix organizational structure. Knowledge of healthcare systems and refocused care principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Competence in financial management, budget and activity oversight. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated success in change management and strategic planning. Ability to manage a broad scope of services and drive results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate education in health leadership or business administration. Training in program evaluation and project management. Extensive clinical experience in tertiary rehabilitation. Experience working with or overseeing Recreation Therapy services, with an understanding of the essential role Recreation Therapists play in supporting holistic, patient-centered care within a tertiary rehabilitation setting.
