A Baccalaureate degree in a health profession with current registration in an applicable regulatory body. A demonstrated a clear pattern of professional and personal development. A minimum of five years of work experience delivering Addiction and Mental Health services, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity with progressive leadership roles in a healthcare environment is necessary (equivalencies may be considered).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex unionized environment. Strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing long-term quality services. Ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Experience in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The candidate will possess a strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The manager is required to be fluent in multiple collective agreements (UNA, HSAA, AUPE), and works closely with attending psychiatrists and clinical medical directors.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's level degree or higher is preferred. Formal training in health administration; or leadership is an asset. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training. Incident Command System training/experience preferred. Fluency in Connect Care and Connect Care reporting is an asset for this role.
