Description:
The Site and Seniors Health Area Manager, Grande Cache, is a key leadership role in the North Zone Operations Leadership Team and reports directly to the Director, Clinical Operations, NZ Area 3. This position has a shared responsibility for the Hospital and the Seniors Health portfolio at Grande Cache. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership and coordination of the activities of the organizational team in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of acute and seniors health care at the site & community. This includes the coordination of health services as they relate to the operations within the community hospital, supportive living, and home care services including partnerships with supportive living or other partners such as Lodges in the community. Direction is provided in support of the vision, mission and the business plan of Alberta Health Services. Responsibilities include making key decisions regarding the integration of resources to ensure effective delivery of health services within hospital/facility and community. This position will also be accountable for providing leadership facilitating achievement of the AHS goals related to Community & Rural Hospitals and Seniors Health within the North Zone.

A minimum of a bachelor degree in healthcare profession, healthcare management or related field. A minimum of 3 - 5 years in a management role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment, including experience in a management role in Seniors Health &/or Community& Rural Hospitals operations. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment.

Rural nursing/healthcare experience would be an asset.
