Required Qualifications:

5 years experience in applicable or comparable leadership type role including, management of human resources with an equivalent number of unionized staff (+50), annual financial responsibility managing budget over $1,000,000, 5 years experience in a leadership type role in an industrial or commercial maintenance department; scheduling and managing work, identification, prioritization, and implementation of preventative maintenance or future repairs and having a 2nd class Power Engineering certificate or Building trade Journeyman certification, or Certified Facility Manager (CFM designation). A combination of related leadership/ management experience and other applicable training/ certifications may be considered as an alternative, contingent upon review/acceptance.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret blue prints, specifications, codes, standards and other technical information. Ability to work in a heavily computerized environment including a computerized maintenance and management software system. Experience in project management and various forms of tendering and contract administration consistent with the NWTPA. Experience in hospitals, institutions or industrial sites of significant size, complexity and diversity is an asset.


Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated professional & personal development. Proven ability to manage, plan, maintain a 2nd class power plant, medical gas & HVAC systems with a 25,000 KV to 120 V branch circuit wiring in a health care facility compliant to various CSA. Technical understanding of the maintenance & operational requirements of systems including; high pressure steam boilers, water treatment (closed loop & domestic), medical gasses, HVAC systems, emergency generating systems, fire & life safety systems.
