Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, Nursing or an Allied Health Profession. Progressive leadership experience including 3 to 5 years’ management experience in a complex health organization. Previous experience with staff scheduling and scheduling provisions required. Knowledge of and experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A good understand of regulatory legislation, AHS policies and procedures, and AHS Standardized scheduling processes and time-keeping practices. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Significant experience in problem solving, facilitation, concerns resolution, investigation and negotiation. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships, to achieve organizational goals within an organization and managing within a unionized sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma may be considered with minimum 5 years supervisory experience in health care laundry, environmental services or patient food services. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partner.
