Manager – MySchedule Training & Change Management team
Your Opportunity:
Health Shared Services (HSS) provides vital services to clinical and non-clinical teams across Alberta’s healthcare system and works alongside provincial health agencies and corporations, providing expertise, systems and resources related to finance, procurement, information technology, human resources, workplace health and safety, privacy, legal and other shared corporate and support services. As part of the HSS organization, HR and Provincial Staff Scheduling Shared Services provides pay and benefit administration and scheduling of employees working in provincial health agencies and corporations. In addition to performing transactions related to this, HR & PSS Shared Services supports the systems used for these transactions including: e-People (HR information system used in pay and benefit administration), the RMS (recruitment management system) and MySchedule Infor WFM (staff scheduling system), and users of these systems.
Description:
The Manager MySchedule Training and Change Management is a key role as they provide leadership to the team responsible for the design, development and delivery of training for all users of the MySchedule software across multiple health organizations. Key clients/partners for this role include those responsible for staff scheduling functions in various health organizations, IT and application support teams, and colleagues who are responsible for managing the training and communications for other systems within HR & PSS SS. Key responsibilities: Consulting with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, translating business requirements into learning outcomes and recommending effective learning solutions Managing, coaching and developing team members in the areas of training design, development, delivery, technical documentation, change and project management Manage the development of change impact assessments and project plans to ensure the training needs of impacted system users are addressed whenever there is a change in the software or business processes Providing leadership to the development of complex learning solutions by defining learning pathways, delivery methods, assessments, prerequisites, and ownership Ensuring high-quality training solutions are developed, delivered and maintained by developing/using standards, templates, style guides, quality review processes, and standards for instructor led training delivery Evolving workflows within the team needed for review or approval of training content Managing requests coming to the team and ensuring the team resources are efficiently utilized Developing and maintaining collaborative and client service-oriented relationships with business leaders, clients and system users Collaborating or supporting colleagues in the e-People training and change management or communications teams

Completion of post-secondary education in Adult/Workplace Learning, Education, Human Resources or Change Management. Equivalencies of education, certification and experience will be considered. Minimum of five years’ experience with leading teams focused on training and/or change management in large and complex organizations, ideally within a shared services model. Five to eight years of progressive experience in all aspects of training, including assessment, design, development, delivery and evaluation (ADDIE). Experienced with various training modalities and technologies, including: blended learning, content/knowledge management and e-learning authoring tools like Adobe Articulate. Experience with developing and managing complex, role-based and technical training programs requiring strong project management and consulting skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Effective with balancing multiple deliverables and quickly adapting to changing information and priorities. Proven ability to foster collaborative and client-service oriented relationships with a variety of colleagues in multiple organizations. Experience with unionized work environments, scheduling and/or human resource information systems and processes considered an asset. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other tools used for training development and delivery.
