Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and/or technical certification in a related field required or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate as per ABSA kW rating guidelines where boiler support is necessary.
Additional Required Qualifications:3+ years previous maintenance experience in building architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and associated systems maintenance in an institutional setting. Very good verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable, cooperative and capable of working independently. Must possess initiative and be capable of giving direction and supervision as required. Must be familiar with a variety of tools and equipment used in the maintenance program. Must have good computer skills. Regular lifting of items up to 23kg (50lbs). N95/half mask fit test.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with HVAC and computerized building controls systems an asset (JCI).
