Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.
Additional Required Qualifications:The incumbent must demonstrate basic working knowledge of building systems, as well as the safe use of hand and power tools required for maintenance activities. The incumbent must demonstrate working knowledge of working in a facilities maintenance or building operations environment. The incumbent must be physically capable of performing maintenance duties, including lifting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in hot, dirty, or confined environments. Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately document work activities are required. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. The incumbent must be able to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team, manage competing priorities, respond to service requests, and comply with established safety and organizational policies.
Preferred Qualifications:Any experience in a hospital setting is an asset as well as any safety certificates. experience using power and hand tools, IPC knowledge within a hospital setting an asset.
