Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be familiar with established rules, regulations, and procedures. Report any unsafe conditions which may cause injury or damage to equipment to supervisor. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Mechanical aptitude and one year of experience in plant operations and maintenance is required. Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Must be able to make informed, timely decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:Grade 12 or equivalent. Trade certification (plumbing, electrical, instrumentation) is desired. A 5th class Power Engineering certificate is preferred. One year of experience in building automation systems. One year of Health Care facility experience is desired. Knowledge of building maintenance and repair. Knowledge of Infection, Prevention & Control Measures/Hoarding. Able to operate grounds equipment.
