Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 High School diploma supplemented by a minimum two month technical training program (i.e. Carpentry, mechanical, electrical or 5th Class Power Engineer certificate). Elementary technical/professional experience (i.e. 1-3 years) required. Must be familiar with a variety of architectural and mechanical tools and equipment used in the maintenance program. Good initiative and judgement required. Must be able to communicate clearly in English; verbally and in writing. Incumbent will be familiar with established safety rules, regulations and procedures. Reports any unsafe conditions which may cause injury and damage to equipment to their supervisor. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Cooperative and willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
Preferred Qualifications:1-5 years previous architectural/mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
