Maintenance Worker I - Parking Services

This position is ideal for a self-motivated, detailed orientated individual seeking an opportunity in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Description:
As a Maintenance Worker I, you may perform routine tasks related to grounds keeping and facility maintenance. Working independently and/or as part of team, you may maintain lawns, flowerbeds, trees and shrubs, collect and dispose garbage, remove snow and ice, spread salt and sand, clean mechanical rooms and shop areas, and assist tradespeople and other maintenance staff as needed.

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 education. Utilizing manual/self-propelled equipment to clean all areas of the parkade and parking lots of debris in heated and non-heated areas. Performs minor repairs and servicing within the parked/parking lots. Washes the parkade and parking lots with water hoses/high pressure cleaning equipment. Spot painting of parkade/parking lots. Removes, replaces and installs parking signage. Manually removes snow from select areas of parkade/parking lots. Drives hospital vehicles and equipment. Assists other trades as required in areas pertaining to the duties required. Barricades areas as required. Ensure all cleaning equipment is operated and maintained safely. Minor servicing of parkade cleaning equipment. Cleaning of parkade/parking lot equipment. Maintains records of completed jobs, labor and work requests. Perform other related duties as required.
