Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited MRI Technologist Program recognized by the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or completion of certification from an accredited MRI Technologist Program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years' experience as an MRI Technologist. Prior experience facilitating, instructing, developing learning, precepting and/or teaching. Graduate of recognized/accredited program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology. Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer designation. Training or courses in leadership, conflict resolution, and communication. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development is required. Practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership and project/program management. Work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Experience collaborating and working effectively with technical, medical and administrative personnel, and fostering relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong, adaptive communication skills utilizing a variety of modalities (verbal, written, active listening). Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, utilize good judgement, make sound decisions, prioritize workload, and balance competing demands. Evidence of thoroughness, concern for accuracy, and attention to detail in performing tasks. Compassionate and caring attitude, and focused patient and family-centered care. Expertise in risk analysis and crisis management with creativity and vision to anticipate problems and solutions. Working knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, PPT.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong quality mindset including safety champion, just culture, and lean/six sigma principles. Strong leadership capability with demonstrated ability to work effectively with all staff. Promotes collaborative decision-making processes and excellent interpersonal communication skills. MRSO experience is an asset.
