Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Alberta recognized Journeyman Certificates in the Machinist and Millwright trades are required. Must be able to perform stainless tig welding. 5-7 Years of specialized technical/professional experience preferably in a hospital environment or food processing facility. Initiative and judgment required in solving technical problems arising in day to day operations. Knowledge of General Safety Services Act relating to plant operation and associated regulations. Familiarity with lock out and confined space work permits and procedures. Maintains up-to-date related records, manufacturer’s manuals, diagrams and record drawings. Ensures adequate materials / parts on hand. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable, cooperative and capable of working both independently and within a team environment. Must be thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment used in the trade. Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related travel is required.
