Licensed Practical Nurse - Renal Dialysis
Your Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity in our program for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the Alberta Kidney Care - North (AKC-N) program. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Decisions are made in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The LPN provides patient and family centered care to acute and chronic renal failure patient populations. The Licensed Practical Nurse will practice within the guidelines and philosophy of AKC-N. You will be encouraged and expected to work at your full scope of practice and to perform a variety of nursing duties in accordance with current policies and nursing care standards. You may have the opportunity to work in other city and rural satellite dialysis units within AKC-N. Please note, candidates who are chosen for an interview will be contacted by email. Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
