Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Candidates are required to write a medication calculation exam on interview. Failure to achieve a passing mark on the exam may impact decision to hire. CPR - HCP level required. Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Basic computer skills are required. Resume required. Preferred Qualifications:Two years previous thoracics and surgical experience preferred. IV, PCA, epidural experience preferred. Monitoring of Central Lines and TPN experience preferred.
