Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit from the college of licensed practical nurses of Alberta (CPLNA). Ability to work to full scope of practice. Current cardiac basic life support. Basic computer skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues and patients, and work within an interdisciplinary team. Adaptability to a constantly changing environment. Commitment to providing patient and family centered care. Proficient critical thinking skills. Strong commitment to improving care and working towards best practice. Personal commitment to maintaining continuing competency and professional development. Ability to manage and effectively prioritize a variety of demands concurrently. Active participation and contribution to improving the work environment. Ability to work shift work. Ability to meet physical requirements (including, but not limited to sitting, standing for long periods, lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, pushing and pulling). In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation. Current Certification as IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) is an asset. Leadership experience. Fetal health Surveillance. Stork connects care access.
