Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years LPN experience dealing with all entire age spectrum including seniors. Be able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of a post-basic Medication Administration Course for LPN’s. Recent work experience in a community based setting, Home Care experience preferred. Experience in Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT), wound, skin and ostomy care, palliative support and client teaching. Able to work to full LPN scope of practice.
