Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities. Proven ability to work within a team environment and effectively contribute to patient planning processes. Strong assessment and communication skills (verbal and written). Successful candidates are responsible for providing proof of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) and to maintain registration throughout the employment relationship. Minimum 1 year working to the full scope of practice including but not limited to managing a multi patient bed assignment while working independently and with an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient cart. Minimum 1 year experience in an emergency/acute care setting, within the last 2 years and Connect Care experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to those applicants that have successfully completed a post-basic study program as required within the scope of the assigned position (i.e. medication administration, IV start, etc.).
