Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-4 years’ nursing experience. This job can be physically demanding, requiring frequent movement, walking, standing for long periods and the ability to carry up to 15-20 lbs at times. Expertise in wound care, wound vac, continence, and ostomy care. Collaborative approaches to care, evidence informed practice, and strong nursing competencies. Uses advanced knowledge, skills, and critical thinking skills to improve client care and manage complex and challenging situations. Demonstrated proficiency including but not limited to the Internet, and Microsoft Office. Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills, holistic and advanced assessment skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Meditech will be helpful in this role.
