Your Opportunity:

Boyle Healthcare Centre is seeking a confident and independent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its small hospital with a combined Emergency Room (ER) and acute care unit. This role delivers adaptable, patient-centered care across both settings, supporting ER operations with patient stabilization, triage assistance, and urgent care, while also managing acute care responsibilities such as assessments, medication administration, wound care, IV therapy (where permitted), and patient education. Working with limited resources, the LPN collaborates closely with the healthcare team, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and adapts to changing patient volumes and acuity. Key competencies include recognizing patient deterioration, maintaining emergency certifications, ensuring continuity of care when the ER is closed, and upholding high standards in documentation, infection control, and patient safety. Boyle is located on Treaty 6 territory and the traditional lands of the Métis, and offers a welcoming, close-knit community and an excellent quality of life. Residents enjoy a peaceful small-town setting near Skeleton Lake, known for its sandy beaches and year-round recreation including fishing, boating, camping, quadding, and hunting. With a lower cost of living and more affordable housing than larger centres, Boyle supports a balanced lifestyle where colleagues quickly become neighbours and friends through local events and shared community spaces. While embracing the benefits of rural living, Boyle remains within a 1.5–2 hour drive from Edmonton, ensuring access to additional services, shopping, and urban amenities—making it an ideal location for those seeking both career satisfaction and a slower, more connected way of life. Additionally, this community qualifies for Student Loan Forgiveness.
