Pincher Creek has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a benefit eligible full-time employee position. The Pincher Creek Health Care Centre has 16 acute care beds, two operating rooms, emergency room. As well the Centre includes home care services, diagnostic imaging, Radiology Associates, laboratory services, Allied Health services, acute and ambulatory care, and public health nursing. The Town of Pincher Creek is a well-established community located at the edge of southern Alberta. Nestled near the mountains, Castle Mountain is a short drive away and Waterton Lakes National Park is also just a quick jaunt for all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. With a variety of winter and summer activities and a diversity of amenities and tourist attractions, Pincher Creek embodies the benefits of balancing work with life. Of course, if you need some time in the city, Lethbridge is just an hour’s drive away and Great Falls, Montana is only four hours for a weekend of shopping in the states.

Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years recent experience in Acute Care clinical nursing setting required.

Preferred Qualifications:

NRP, Emergency Room, CTAS, and Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
