Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successful completion of a medication exam at time of interview. This position requires the ability to meet the physical demands associated with nursing duties in an acute hospital unit setting. These include but are not limited to: Frequent pushing and pulling of equipment or patients Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift Regular bending, kneeling, twisting and reaching Ability to lift, move, or assist patients and equipment weighing up to 40–50 pounds Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in an acute care setting - maternal/child health preferred.
