Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of two years current nursing experience with one year in a community-based setting preferred. Completion of a post-basic Medication Administration and CVAD certification for LPNs. A keen interest in wound care and a willingness to acquire expertise through education and training. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required. A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Ability to perform all work-related duties in accordance with regulated legislature. Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in the Community a definite asset. Home Care experience a definite asset.
