Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric in-patient surgery and trauma or medicine (within last 5 years). Strong organizational and assessment skills are required with the ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the capability of adapting to a fast-paced environment. Proven reliability and dependability. Must be able to perform full duties with the ability to work with patients of varying mobility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Successfully pass the Stollery Medication Administration Exam with 90%. Successfully complete the Stollery Orientation Program and pass the following: PEARS course (Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization course).
