Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic computer skills. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintain collaboration with team members. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads and work conditions. Demonstrated accountability, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to respond to new needs in the role as they arise, within initiative and self-directedness. Minimum 2 years of experience in an adult acute inpatient practice setting. Working knowledge of concurrent disorders, risk assessments, safety plans, psychotropic medications and mental status assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working within the CoACT framework an asset. Experience working with persons with significant mental illness and/or addictions an asset and preferred.
