Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to work shift rotation schedules. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Basic computer skills, good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships ---Competence in relevant. technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a highly complex integrated team. Must demonstrate advanced communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must exhibit respect, teamwork and team spirit.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in day surgery including orthopedics and cataracts.
