Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:1-3 years' experience working in the Acute Care setting. Lead 2 cardiac lead interpretation course. IV Direct Administration course. CAM B cardiac rhythm interpretation course. Experience with CVAD. Up to date with LPN courses and the ability to work to your full scope of practice. Ability to work on your feet for long periods. Ability to work independently and within the team setting. Ability to communicate effectively with all healthcare disciplines. Follow the policies and procedures of Alberta Health Services. Up to date It's Your Move and Mask Fit testing.
Preferred Qualifications:Emergency experience 1-2 years. CTAS preferred. Rural Nurse Connect Care Training.
