Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent child and adolescent in-patient Mental Health experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary team members. Strong interpersonal skills required. Strong organizational, independent problem solving, and communication skills required. Adaptive and innovative approach given continuously changing environment essential. Computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Brain Story Certification. Training in and excellent working knowledge of Collaborative Problem Solving, Attachment Theory and Trauma Informed Care. Experience using evidence based interventions for children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI).
