Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum one year nursing experience obtained within the past 2 years working greater than 0.60 FTE. A willingness to learn new skills as required. Ability to work shift work and meet the physical demands of the job. Strong comprehensive patient assessment and decision making.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent Maternity/Gynecology experience (obtained within the last year working >0.50 FTE). Preference given to those with recent IV therapy experience. Experience in antepartum & newborn care an asset. Experience in the care of low-risk medical-surgical patients an asset. Certification(s)/training in relevant specialties: MoreOB certifications, Breastfeeding education, bladder scanning, knowledge of postpartum pathway, newborn care. Current ROL. Connect Care trained/excellent computer skills.
