Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Minimum 6 months to 1 year of Unit 62 experience required. Experience with working with Geriatric patient populations required. Recent (within the last year) acute medical inpatient experience. Current BCLS-HCP certificate required. Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Demonstrated Ability to work as a team. Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members. Effective communication (written and verbal). Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads. Demonstrated accountability, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with CoAct model of Nursing Care. Experience with non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
