Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Medication Administration Course for LPNs. Minimum 5 years’ experience as an LPN, preferably with acute care & community experience. Previous leadership or educator experience. Recent work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse and experience supervising a team. A keen interest in wound care and a willingness to acquire expertise through education & training. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and is a team player. Physically able to perform work related tasks and duties. Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in the community and in home care is a definite asset.
