Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working as a LPN on an acute medical inpatient or transition unit within the last 2 years. Consideration will be given to new graduates who have completed a final practicum on an acute medical inpatient or transition unit. Ability to assist with lifting, turning and transferring adult patients is required on a frequent basis required throughout each shift. This job classification requires a heavy physical demand level as per the AHS Job Demands Summary.
Preferred Qualifications:Current experience (within 1 months) working with seniors and the cognitively impaired. Current NVCI certification within the last 2 years. Current See the Person course completion. Current It’s Your Move Certification. Current N95 Fit Test. Experience with electronic charting using SCM.
