Required Qualifications:

A member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta, entitled to practice in Alberta, or eligible for registration to practice law in Alberta. Knowledge and experience with applicable legislation including the Alberta Labour Relations Code, Employment Standards Code, OHS, WCB and the Alberta Human Rights Act. The equivalencies in experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition to excellent legal, analytical and advocacy skills, you have superior communication skills, and strong organizational skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality timely services. You are also creative and innovative in providing solutions. You are motivated to learn, a self-starter with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and able to work with others to achieve common goals. A desire and aptitude for oral advocacy in administrative tribunals, arbitrations and litigation is necessary.


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience representing clients in the public sector, administrative tribunals, arbitrations or litigation, and experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
