Qualified to practice law in Alberta and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta. Three (3) to ten (10) years' legal practice (excluding articling year). Demonstrated excellence as a practicing lawyer in corporate and commercial matters with excellent legal and analytic skills. Motivated to learn, independent, energetic. Adaptable and flexible. Superior communication skills. Strong research and drafting competencies.
Additional Required Qualifications:
The incumbent will also possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Proven ability to perform well in complex matters, prioritize and deal with multiple assignments, all under significant time and other pressures. Proven ability to work with senior management and leadership. Demonstrated business acumen with ability to balance business requirements against legal risks, formulate legal solutions to advance the needs of assigned client groups. Knowledge and skills in problem solving and conflict resolution. Strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to work with others to achieve common goals. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to respond to requests for information. Experience in data analysis and interpretation, evaluation methodologies, and report writing.
