Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in a large scale, complex health care environment. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing multiple major projects is required. Requires a Professional health designation. Experience with cross-continuum programs or services is required. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information. Understands the complexities and inter-relationships between AHS services and sectors across the continuum within an integrated academic health care system; this understanding is key to identifying barriers, challenges and opportunities across the system. Extensive knowledge of the AHS health system and leading practices applicable to change implementation.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership skills, especially leading multidisciplinary teams, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage change and/or certification in Change Management. Demonstrated working knowledge of quality improvement, research methods, data analysis and evaluation, systematic reviews and critical appraisal skills. Strong facilitation and mediation skills. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, patient focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education at the Masters level is an asset. Experience with provincial-scale programs is an asset. Operational management experience in a comprehensive stroke centre is an asset.
