Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Certificate in trades from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Additional Required Qualifications:Class 5 Drivers License. Must possess an Alberta Journeyman Certificate in a relevant trade or a two-year Engineering Technologist Diploma from an accredited college. Journeyman Electrician, Temperature Control/HVAC or Industrial Mechanic preferred. Knowledgeable about the Infection Prevention Control CSA-Standard. A minimum of 5 years post certification experience working in an applicable maintenance environment is required. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience, e-Facilities. Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards and certifications as they apply to hospitals. Computer experience in MS Office. 3rd or 4th class ABSA Certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Five years maintenance experience in a hospital setting is an asset. Building Management System (BMS) experience. Delta Controls. Working knowledge of applicable building systems, hospital situations, hospital non-medical equipment and specialized areas. Previous supervisory or lead hand experience would be an asset. Prior experience in supervising/managing a multi-trade team in a Lead hand or equivalent role.
